(NADS) - The Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, the Vietnam Musicians Association in collaboration with the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Military University of Culture and Arts organized the art program "Dat Nuoc".
Nguyen Dinh Thi - a giant of Vietnamese literature and art in the 20th century. He left us a great, rich cultural and artistic heritage with lasting vitality. He was a revolutionary activist from the pre-uprising period, the youngest member of the first National Assembly and held important positions in managing literature and art for many decades.
With outstanding talent and creativity, in every field, Nguyen Dinh Thi has valuable works in various art forms: poetry, prose, music, drama, literary theory and philosophy. In addition to his lifetime works, as a cultural manager, he also has important impacts on culture and literature.
Nguyen Dinh Thi is a poet with a unique artistic style, harmoniously combining tradition and modernity. His poetry is often philosophical, thoughtful and has great power of inspiration. Besides, there are short poems bearing his own mark, concise but rich in images. Along with poems about homeland, country and people, he also left us many romantic and profound love poems with different levels of emotions, from joy and happiness to sadness of separation. During his lifetime, Nguyen Dinh Thi did not compose much music, but his musical works and poems set to music by musicians all left a strong impression, becoming immortal songs in the Vietnamese music scene. In the program, the artists performed emotionally Nguyen Dinh Thi's poems set to music by musicians: Red Leaves, Love Song of the Cape, Yellow Flowers, Remembering ... and other songs he composed: Hanoi People, Love Country.
The opening program was the instrumental music Diet fascism, arranged by musician Duc Tan, conducted by musician Do Hong Quan, with an excellent performance by the Orchestra of the Military University of Culture and Arts.
This is one of three songs presented to President Ho Chi Minh to choose one as the national anthem. The song Tien Quan Ca by musician Van Cao was chosen by Uncle Ho, while Diet Phat Xit by Nguyen Dinh Thi was chosen as the theme song of the Voice of Vietnam for the past 79 years. The heroic melody of the song Diet Phat Xit always resounds every morning to start a new day on the radio waves of the Voice of Vietnam, leaving a deep impression on the memories of many generations.
The program brings special performances composed by Nguyen Dinh Thi such as excerpts of Ly Chieu Hoang's monologue in the play Bamboo Forest , excerpts of the opera Nguyen Trai ...
