On the evening of April 29, an art program with the theme "Eternal Epic" took place at Nguyen Hue walking street, Ho Chi Minh City.
The program is organized by the Organizing Committee of major holidays in Ho Chi Minh City, performed by the Ho Chi Minh City Light Music Center to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024) and the 138th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2024).
Attending the program were Mr. Phan Van Mai - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Ms. Tran Kim Yen - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Huynh Thanh Nhan - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Mr. Tran The Thuan - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation... and thousands of people.
New look for familiar songs
The art program "Eternal Epic" was directed by Duong Thao and directed by artist Thanh Thuy.
The ever-resounding epic is built into three chapters: Unifying the country, Building a new day and Vietnam - Aspiration for greatness.
In the chapter "Unifying the Country", the songs are arranged with heroic melodies, recreating the fighting spirit of our army and people against foreign invaders.
These are the songs: Ho keo Phao, Hanh quan xa, Chien thang Dien Bien, To quoc oi ta da nghe, Con duong huyen thuy, Tien ve Sai Gon, Thinh vuong Viet Nam sang ngoi, Tinh ca, Dat nuoc tron niu vui, Bai ca thong nhat ... performed by singers Quoc Dai, Hien Thuc, Vo Ha Tram, Cao Cong Nghia, Pham The Vi, Duyen Huyen, Vo Thanh Tam, Dang Quan, Minh Sang, MTV Saigon singing group, group 135, Mat Ngoc group...
Familiar songs are remixed, creating a wide range of emotions for the audience.
The highlight of the first chapter is the scene of Leaving and Preparing for Return , performed by artists My Uyen, Huu Quoc, Hanh Thuy, Phi Nga, Truong Khanh and Dao Van Anh.

In chapter two "Building a new day", the audience enjoyed new compositions praising the good traditional values and unique cultural features of the people of Ho Chi Minh City, which are humanity and affection.
Along with that is the process of building and developing the city, constantly innovating, growing and integrating.
Singers Ho Trung Dung, Trung Quang, group 135, and Mat Ngoc group performed vibrant songs praising the city named after Uncle Ho: My City, New Day Sounds, New Vitality in Uncle Ho's City...
The audience could not help but feel nostalgic and proud of the city they live in when the words touched the emotions of each person.

The song "Aspiration for Power" closed the art program.
In the third chapter titled "Vietnam - Aspiration for Power", the audience enjoyed three songs: Proud Melody (performed by MTV group), A Round of Vietnam (sung by Dan Truong) and the song Aspiration for Power (singing by Lac Viet group, Truc Lai, Quyen Quynh, Thuy Trinh, and MTV Saigon group).
Through this, the organizers hope to spread the message that the young generation of Vietnam will never forget the heroic historical values of the nation, and join hands to build an increasingly civilized, modern, and affectionate city.
The art program "Eternal Epic" ended but left many emotions about the proud melodies, especially for young audiences.
