Join hands to support people affected by floods

In recent days, floods have affected the lives and activities of people in some localities in the province. In order to share with people in flooded areas, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has implemented many activities to join hands with the community to overcome the consequences of floods, promptly visiting, encouraging and supporting families in difficult circumstances affected by natural disasters.

Women's Union members of Ha Hoa district actively helped people clean up houses, village roads and alleys affected by floods.

Ms. Phan Hong Nhung - Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union said: Promoting the spirit of "Mutual love and support", "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", the Provincial Women's Union has actively directed all levels of the Union to propagate and mobilize cadres, members, and women to participate in supporting people to overcome natural disaster damage, rescue crops, and clean up the environment; coordinate with agencies, departments, branches, and organizations to evacuate people and property of people in flooded areas to safe places; support food and meals for the task force and people, clean up houses to help people in flooded areas stabilize their lives soon...

Due to the impact of the storm, Phong Chau bridge on National Highway 32C, spanning the Red River connecting Tam Nong and Lam Thao districts, collapsed. The functional forces were present at both ends of the bridge in time to fix the problem... Sharing the difficulties of the LLCN and the affected people, the Women's Union of Tam Nong district quickly provided some essential necessities, mobilized dozens of members and women of Van Xuan commune to go to Phong Chau bridge area to cook, participate in supporting and encouraging the families of the victims. The Provincial Women's Union, the Women's Union of Viet Tri city, and the Women's Union of Lam Thao district also visited and encouraged the families of member Nguyen Thi Yen, zone 17, Son Vy commune, Lam Thao district and Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Hang, zone No Luc, Thuy Van commune, Viet Tri city who went missing to soon overcome difficulties and losses.

Joining hands to help people in flood-hit areas, the Women's Union of Yen Lap, Tan Son, Cam Khe districts... mobilized members and women to wrap thousands of banh chung, make rice balls, dried pork floss, roasted peanuts, donate water, bread, milk... to send to communes in Cam Khe and Ha Hoa districts that were flooded due to storms. Members and women of Tri Quan commune (Phu Ninh district), Cao Xa commune (Lam Thao district)... helped people harvest rice to escape the flood...

Ha Hoa district is one of the localities severely affected by storm No. 3, some communes in the district were flooded and isolated. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - President of the District Women's Union said: After the water in some places began to recede, the District Women's Union mobilized hundreds of members and women from the communes of Huong Xa, Dai Pham, Am Ha, Yen Luat... to actively participate in supporting women and people to clean their houses, clear trees, and clean the environment to ensure a safe living environment. In the coming time, the Union will direct the Union's branches to continue to take timely support measures so that members, women and people can soon overcome the consequences of floods...

The specific actions and noble gestures of cadres, members and women in the province have demonstrated the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and support in the community, contributing to giving more strength to the families of members, women and people in flood-affected areas to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives and production.
