Competition to build new countryside

With the consensus of the people, the 1km long "bright - green - clean - beautiful" model road of Dai An village (Tam Dai commune, Phu Ninh) was completed after a short time under the motto "State and people work together".

The road is widened from 4.5 to 6.5m, spacious, with trees planted on both sides and a lighting system installed to ensure safety for people when traveling at night.

At the conference summarizing the patriotic emulation movement in 2024 recently organized by the People's Committee of Phu Ninh district, Mr. Vo Van Cuong - Head of Dai An village shared that when the policy of building a model road "bright - green - clean - beautiful" was implemented, through propaganda and mobilization, people donated nearly ^1,000m2 of land, moved fences, gates and contributed labor... to expand the road.

“The success of the village’s model road construction, in addition to the right policy, the most important thing is the positive response and contribution of the people. People have formed the awareness of caring for and protecting trees, maintaining environmental hygiene, creating a civilized living space, ensuring the sustainable construction of the model road,” said Mr. Cuong.

With the participation of the entire political system and the people's support in implementing the emulation movement to build new rural areas (NTM), Phu Ninh continues to maintain and upgrade the standards of NTM districts, model NTM villages, and build communes that meet advanced NTM standards and model NTM standards in the period 2022 - 2025.

Phu Ninh District People's Committee said that up to now, 7/9 criteria of advanced NTM district have been achieved and strive to reach the finish line by the end of 2025. Tam Phuoc commune has met the advanced NTM standards, the remaining communes have met from 15 to 18 criteria. There are 32/48 villages meeting the model NTM village standards. Phu Thinh town has met the civilized urban standards.

To create consensus in implementation, the heads of the Party Committee and district authorities organized dialogues with people in model new rural villages, new urban blocks, etc.

“Through the emulation movement to build new rural areas and campaigns, we have actively contributed to the construction of rural infrastructure, the construction of cultural institutions, the reduction of the poverty rate, and the improvement of people's living standards. In practice, many collectives and individuals have emerged as typical examples in labor production and economic development to escape poverty and become rich legitimately,” said Mr. Nguyen Huu Binh, Vice Chairman of Phu Ninh District People's Committee.

Focus on core tasks

From absorbing the viewpoints and policies and gradually transforming them into campaigns and emulation movements to study and follow Uncle Ho, in Phu Ninh, many good models have appeared and spread widely among cadres, party members, and the community.

These include the model of building self-managed roads associated with religious worship facilities; mobilizing support for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district. The district Women's Union has models of "5 no, 3 clean", "Green house", "Waste classification at source", "Godmother". The district Farmers' Association has models of "Value chain for chili, hybrid rice, organic watermelon", "Gardening club".

At the one-stop transaction points of the People's Committees of communes and towns, there is a model of "Questions and answers to resolve administrative procedures"; building a model of "community digital technology team" in building smart villages/blocks...

With the results achieved in the emulation movement to study and follow Uncle Ho, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Sang - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Phu Ninh District Party Committee said that from 2016 - 2024, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee commended and rewarded 132 collectives and 82 individuals; at the same time, the provincial level commended 4 collectives and 3 individuals; 2 typical examples were honored at the national conference to exchange typical examples of studying and following Uncle Ho.

In the current context, according to Mr. Huynh Xuan Chinh - Chairman of Phu Ninh District People's Committee, patriotic emulation movements in the district focus on serving the most effective political tasks related to merging administrative units and streamlining the organizational apparatus.

In particular, priority is given to the statistics of existing records and documents of each agency and unit from district to commune, ready for handover when there is an official policy from the superior. Along with that, thoroughly resolve the existing problems and limitations pointed out by each sector, locality, and unit; complete the 90-day peak period focusing on building the database according to the province's launch and disbursement, not leaving outstanding debts for basic construction...
