In recent days, at the National Funeral Home area, units of the Ministry of National Defense have coordinated with relevant agencies and units to focus on installing equipment and preparing necessary tasks to ensure absolute safety for the funeral. Recognizing the forces and units that have made efforts to deploy forces to urgently carry out the tasks in the past days, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh requested the units to participate in the tasks with the highest sense of responsibility; to do a good job of ensuring security, safety, means, techniques... for the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; to closely coordinate with the functional agencies of the Party and State assigned to organize, guide and welcome delegations to attend the funeral, ensuring safety and solemnity.
In addition, logistics, medical care, and disinfection of areas were also strictly implemented in accordance with regulations, so that the funeral and memorial services for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong took place in the most solemn and safe manner, in accordance with the regulations of the Party, State, and Military ceremonies.
Previously, on July 23, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, also inspected the preparations for the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral House and Mai Dich Cemetery. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia requested that agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense and relevant agencies do a good job of ensuring the security and safety of technical equipment for the State Funeral; coordinate with local authorities to organize instructions and welcome delegations of leaders of the Party, State, ministries, departments, branches, the Army, the Public Security, localities and people to attend the funeral to ensure safety and solemnity.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc, Director of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, said that up to now, all preparations of the Ministry of National Defense for the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong have been stable, carefully prepared, solemnly and closely, and the Army's forces are ready to carry out their tasks.
The funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will be held at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on July 25, 2024 and from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on July 26, 2024; The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 26, 2024 at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi.
The funeral and memorial service for comrade Nguyen Phu Trong will be held at the same time at Thong Nhat Hall, Ho Chi Minh City and at his hometown in Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi city.
