On July 23, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Notice No. 92/TB-UBND on flying flags at half-mast and stopping entertainment activities during the two-day National Funeral of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The flag is flown at half-mast at Thai Binh Newspaper Agency.

Accordingly, implementing the Special Announcement of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Announcement of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on the organization of the State Funeral of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Provincial People's Committee notifies agencies, offices, and public places to fly flags at half-mast during the two days of the State Funeral (July 25 - 26, 2024). The half-mast flag is the National Flag, with a mourning ribbon (1/10 the size of the flag's width, the length of the flag and only flying the flag to 2/3 the height of the flagpole, using a black cloth band to tie the flag so that it does not fly).

The banner was hung at the headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of De Tham ward (Thai Binh city).

During the two days of the National Funeral, provincial departments, agencies, sectors, unions, central agencies located in the province, administrative agencies, state agencies, armed forces, localities, schools, hospitals, enterprises, etc. will not organize public entertainment activities, art programs, or sports competitions.

Before the day of the National Funeral, many agencies, organizations, and residential areas in the province flew flags at half-mast to commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
