Specifically, Phu Tho Tourist Service Joint Stock Company (DSP) has just sent to the State Securities Commission information about receiving a decision on tax enforcement from the tax authority.
Accordingly, the District 11 Tax Department under the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department issued 12 decisions on tax enforcement by means of withdrawing money from accounts issued on November 19.
The reason Phu Tho Tourist was forced to pay is because the company has tax arrears of more than 90 days with a total amount of money forced to pay more than 3.4 billion VND.
The tax authority sent the decisions to enforce the accounts to a series of banks in Ho Chi Minh City - where Phu Tho Tourist has accounts, including: Sacombank, Vietcombank, VPBank, Vietbank, Nam A Bank, Agribank, VietA Bank, MBBank, Vietinbank...
In July this year, Phu Tho Tourist was also forced to pay taxes by stopping the use of invoices due to overdue tax debts. The amount of money forced at that time was more than 57.3 billion VND.
However, the decision to enforce the suspension of invoice use was terminated at the end of October. Accordingly, the enterprise is allowed to continue using invoices because it has complied with the payment of tax arrears.
Phu Tho Tourist manages and operates four business units including: Dam Sen Cultural Park (also known as Dam Sen Kho), Ngoc Lan - Phu Tho hotel cluster, Dam Sen Tourist Service Center and Vam Sat mangrove eco-tourism area.
In addition, this company has invested in the famous entertainment area Dam Sen Water Park (investing more than 253 billion VND) and holds more than 33.5% of the park's capital.
At the same time, Phu Tho Tourist also invested financially in two hotels including Saigon - Da Lat (Lam Dong) and Saigon - Dong Ha (Quang Tri).

According to the recently released financial report, Phu Tho Tourist recorded revenue of more than 50 billion VND, down about 17% compared to the same period in 2023. This is also the lowest third quarter revenue since 2021.
Business leaders said the difficult economic situation, people tightening their spending and unfavorable weather caused the number of customers to drop sharply.
At the same time, financial revenue also decreased by 46% (nearly 6 billion VND) compared to the same period last year, due to lower bank interest rates.
As a result, Phu Tho Tourist lost nearly 14 billion VND after tax, compared to a loss of more than 2.6 billion VND in the same period last year. In the first 9 months of the year, the company still lost more than 9.7 billion VND.
Notably, according to the financial report, Phu Tho Tourist has nearly 470 billion VND deposited in the bank to earn interest at the end of September this year.
