The Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee requested the investor and contractor of the Huong River overpass - a "giant" steel arch bridge under a project costing more than VND2,280 billion - to open the route on March 26 to soon put it into operation and serve the people.
According to the report of the Hue City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (project investor), the project is currently basically on schedule, but there are still some obstacles related to the site and prolonged rainy weather affecting the construction implementation.
The Huong River overpass with a "giant" steel arch, part of a project worth more than 2,280 billion VND, is under construction.
"Up to this point, we have completed 90% of the work. The remaining work, although not much, is of an aesthetic nature and depends on the weather, so we have to take advantage of favorable weather to organize the construction," said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quyen, Deputy Director of the Hue City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The Nguyen Hoang Street and Huong River Overpass Project in Hue City has a total investment of more than VND 2,281 billion, starting on December 23, 2022, with a joint venture of contractors Trung Chinh Construction and Trading Co., Ltd. - Thua Thien Hue Construction and Management Joint Stock Company - Viet Anh Import-Export Trade Construction Investment Joint Stock Company - Thua Thien Hue Road I Joint Stock Company to construct within 3 years.

This is a project on Ring Road 3 - the main traffic axis running through the heart of Hue City, connecting two satellite towns, Huong Tra Town - Huong Thuy Town with Phu Xuan District and Thuan Hoa District, Hue City.
According to the design, the Huong River overpass has a steel arch shape, 380m long, including 5 spans, 43m wide, 6 lanes, 210m long approach roads at both ends, especially a 3m wide pedestrian lane, and a minimum guaranteed navigation capacity of 30m wide and 6m high.
This project not only contributes to reducing traffic pressure but also creates a highlight for Hue's urban landscape.

On January 6, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong went to the field to inspect the progress of site clearance and construction of the "giant" steel arch bridge over the Huong River, part of a project worth more than VND2,280 billion.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong requested the investor, contractors and related units to strengthen coordination, speed up progress, ensure project quality as well as comply with requirements on labor safety and environment.
Focus on resolving problems in site clearance, especially supporting resettled people, ensuring legitimate rights for affected people.
At the same time, review the entire construction plan, arrange human resources and machinery appropriately to ensure the committed progress. The delayed items must have a specific roadmap, increase shifts to ensure the progress of the route on time on March 26 to soon put into operation and serve the people.
