22 hundred-year-old mahogany trees lie at the foot of Nua Mountain in Trieu Son District (Thanh Hoa). Not simply ancient trees providing shade, these trees are also witnesses to the ups and downs of time and are closely associated with the history of the majestic Co Dinh land, now becoming a heritage tree row.

On the only road leading to the top of Nua mountain through residential group 6, Nua town, there are 22 xà mật trees, which are heritage trees and considered "unique" in Thanh land, making many people excited and admiring when passing by here.

According to the elders in Nua town, this row of soapberry trees was planted during the war against the French, more than 100 years ago. The area of ​​22 soapberry trees is the first part of the road to Am Tiem acupuncture point (also known as the gate to heaven) on Nua mountain. A very sacred place in the land of Thanh.

This row of trees was recognized as a Vietnam Heritage Tree by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Heritage and Environment in early 2023.

The height of the row of mahogany trees is up to several dozen meters. In the summer, this row of trees becomes a familiar resting place for local people.

This heritage tree line has a total of 22 mahogany trees, running along both sides of the road, with a length of hundreds of meters.

Over time, the trunk of the rosewood tree became rough and covered with moss.

The ancient mahogany trees are on average 30 - 40 m high, with many branches. Many small branches of the mahogany trees during the development process are broken or pruned to suit the landscape space of the area.

Two rows of ancient mahogany trees are planted alternately, with uneven spacing. Currently, the trees all have large trunks and lush branches and leaves.

The diameter of the largest mahogany tree measured at the base is about 2 m, two adults cannot hug it.
