The "key" to solving problems in labor relations

Localities, units and enterprises in Ha Tinh have effectively implemented direct dialogue with workers to resolve disputes and prevent conflicts in labor relations.

Ha Tinh Garment Factory 10 (Vung Ang Economic Zone) is a garment business, established in June 2021. At the time of operation, the business was severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To encourage the spirit of work and promote production and business activities, the enterprise's trade union coordinated with the company's leaders to organize a workers' conference and directly dialogue with nearly 400 workers. At the conference, workers boldly expressed their concerns about the company's production development plan; proposed that the company's leaders increase the search for orders to ensure regular employment and income for workers...

The

After the dialogue, Ms. Tran Thi Mai and her colleagues feel more secure in their work and are more committed to the enterprise.

In the spirit of democracy, frankness and openness, the company's leaders have received and responded satisfactorily to the opinions of employees; at the same time, they hope that employees will share and accompany the company to recover quickly after the pandemic and develop sustainably.

Ms. Tran Thi Mai - a worker at Garment Factory 10 shared: "After the conference, we had our questions answered by company leaders and union officials at all levels, and were provided with a lot of knowledge about labor laws, so we felt more secure in our work; we encouraged each other to make efforts and contribute to the company."

The

Binh Minh Cooperative organized a dialogue program at the workplace with the theme "Enterprise for employees - Employees for enterprise".

With the theme "Enterprises for workers - Workers for enterprises", in mid-May 2023, the Trade Union of Binh Minh Cooperative (Nghi Xuan) organized a dialogue at the workplace with all workers and laborers.

The cooperative leaders fully informed the workers about the situation and operation plan of the unit. The workers also frankly discussed issues related to social insurance payment, leave for male workers when their wives give birth, ensuring labor safety at the company, working conditions during hot weather, etc.

Mr. Le Van Dong - Director of Binh Minh Cooperative said: "The Board of Directors accepts all the contents that the employees reflect to have effective solutions in the shortest time to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of the employees, at the same time hoping that the employees will share and stick with the enterprise for a long time".

The Mental Hospital's dialogue program is associated with the activity "Thanking workers", honoring exemplary workers.

Ha Tinh Mental Hospital also recently organized a direct dialogue conference with 60 officials and employees with the theme "Listening - Understanding - Sharing - Thanking employees".

The dialogue took place in a democratic and positive atmosphere. Doctors and hospital staff frankly spoke about their difficulties and problems, expressed their thoughts, proposed to improve working conditions, and adjusted some welfare policies to suit the toxic and stressful working conditions.

In addition to agencies and enterprises, direct dialogue activities are also systematically implemented by local Party committees and authorities, truly serving as a forum for workers, employers and trade union officials at all levels to exchange, reflect their thoughts and propose issues related to their legitimate rights.

At the dialogue between the leaders of Ky Anh town and 200 workers at the end of May 2023, union members, workers, employees and employers sent dozens of opinions to the leaders of the town. In particular, the most concerned issues are the insurance regime for workers when examining and treating diseases with health insurance cards; boarding houses for teachers living far away; access to public education for children of workers around the industrial park is difficult because workers in the economic zone often have to work all day on Saturday. Meanwhile, public kindergartens and primary schools around the Vung Ang Economic Zone are often closed on Saturdays and do not have boarding meals; private schools, especially primary schools, have long distances to school, high costs....

After listening to opinions and recommendations, the heads of the Party Committee, the government and the heads of departments, agencies and branches of the town have accepted and thoroughly explained the issues within their authority. For recommendations not within their authority, Ky Anh Town has compiled and submitted them to the competent authority for consideration and early resolution.

The dialogue program with district leaders is an opportunity for grassroots union officials of Vu Quang district to propose many issues related to policies and regimes for workers.

Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor Ngo Dinh Van said: "Implementing democracy and dialogue regulations at the workplace is the most important "key" to resolving disputes and preventing conflicts in labor relations.

During Workers' Month 2023 alone, the province organized more than 300 dialogues with the participation of nearly 20,000 workers. Through dialogues, local leaders, agencies, units and business owners grasped the thoughts and aspirations of the grassroots to promptly and satisfactorily resolve proposals and recommendations, and at the same time have appropriate policies and strategies to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of workers."
