Market management training for more than 150 students

(Baohatinh.vn) - More than 150 students in Ha Tinh have been informed of new regulations in market management and trained to improve their skills in market development and building civilized and effective markets.

On the morning of March 28, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ha Tinh coordinated with the College of Commerce (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to organize a training course to improve market management skills; disseminate Decree No. 60/2024/ND-CP dated June 5, 2024 of the Government on market development and management.

The training was attended by more than 150 trainees who are officers and employees of cooperatives, enterprises, market management boards; officers and civil servants in charge of market management in localities.

Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Vo Ta Nghia: The training course aims to help officials and civil servants in charge of state management at district and commune levels and business, exploitation and market management units to clearly understand new regulations and principles in market management.

At the training session, trainees listened to lecturers from the College of Commerce (Ministry of Industry and Trade) convey the contents of Decree No. 60/2024/ND-CP dated June 5, 2024 of the Government.

Decree No. 60/2024/ND-CP on market development and management takes effect from August 1, 2024, consisting of 5 Chapters, 38 Articles, 2 Appendices, and 16 forms.

The newly issued Decree has many changes compared to previous regulations such as: adding concepts of night markets, spontaneous business locations, historical and cultural relic markets, community markets; removing concepts of markets in border economic zones, border markets, mountainous markets, border markets; classifying markets according to business methods such as people's markets, wholesale markets; classifying markets according to scale to decentralize management of class 1, class 2 and class 3 markets; classifying markets according to State budget and non-State budget capital sources...

Master Hoang Ha Tien - Lecturer at the College of Commerce (Ministry of Industry and Trade) conveyed the contents of Decree No. 60/2024/ND-CP dated June 5, 2024 of the Government.

Students are also introduced to knowledge, management skills and orientations, and the State's policies on market management to promote the role of markets in production and consumption; learn about methods of organizing and arranging businesses in the market, fire prevention, food safety and hygiene, market environmental sanitation, building civilized markets, etc.

At the training session, trainees also exchanged and discussed experiences and methods of market management and answered questions related to market infrastructure asset management, market classification, and implementation of market management model conversion.

Ha Tinh province currently has 151 operating markets, including 5 class I markets, 7 class II markets, 134 class III markets and 5 temporary markets under the integrated market development plan of Ha Tinh province planning.

According to the plan, by 2030, the whole province will have 169 operating markets, including 7 class I markets, 11 class II markets, and 151 class III markets. Regarding infrastructure, 37 markets will remain the same; 26 new markets will be built and 106 markets will be upgraded and renovated.
