According to the provincial Customs Department, the number of enterprises carrying out customs procedures at the unit up to this point is 9 enterprises, with 909 declarations, reaching more than 70 million USD, collecting more than 21 billion VND for the state budget. The main import and export items are: processed frozen shrimp of all kinds, cashew nuts, stuffed toys, garment products such as masks, aprons, napkins... and construction stones. Export markets include: UK, USA, Canada, Switzerland, Czech Republic, France, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Taiwan, Japan, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, Japan. However, due to the impact of the global economic recession, in the first 9 months of the year, the import-export turnover of enterprises in the province decreased by 21% compared to the same period, the number of enterprises participating in customs procedures for import-export goods decreased by 40%, but the number of import-export declarations increased by 0.45%, of which export reached 498 declarations, import reached 411 declarations.

Faced with the difficulties of enterprises, since the beginning of the year, the provincial Customs Department has made efforts to deploy and implement synchronous solutions to maximize the convenience for trade activities, such as enhancing dialogue between Customs and enterprises to promptly grasp and resolve problems arising from import and export activities of enterprises. Strictly implement regulations of ministries and branches in particular and legal regulations of the State in general in the field of Customs to maximize convenience for enterprises to restore production and business activities. Along with that, focus on promoting the implementation of administrative procedure reform to simplify procedures in the inspection and supervision of import and export goods and means of entry and exit in accordance with the actual situation of the unit; regularly implement measures to propagate policies and laws, post and publicly announce new documents. Maintain the operation of the Propaganda Team, support and provide information to customs declarants and taxpayers. Since the beginning of the year, the Department has provided 93 consultations and instructions, including 76 written instructions on regulations related to the management of tax-free imported goods, customs procedures for processed goods, export production, notification of production facilities, notification of reprocessing contracts, mineral export procedures, etc.
In addition to facilitating import-export activities, the provincial Customs Department also closely coordinates with functional forces inside and outside the industry to implement plans to inspect, supervise and control Customs in the work of preventing and combating smuggling, tax evasion and trade fraud in the province. Since the beginning of the year, the Department has issued 18 decisions to sanction administrative violations with a total amount of nearly 6.5 billion VND, accordingly, all enterprises have complied with the sanction decisions in accordance with regulations.

From now until the end of the year, the Provincial Customs Branch will strive to effectively implement customs supervision and management, synchronously deploy solutions to promote customs clearance of goods, create maximum convenience for enterprises participating in import-export activities in the management area while still ensuring compliance with customs laws and regulations of related laws. At the same time, maintain good implementation of administrative reforms on customs procedures, create favorable and transparent conditions for import-export and investment activities in the area, contributing to promoting customs clearance of goods, boosting import-export activities, ensuring the completion of revenue targets for the year, and developing the local socio-economy.
