The determination of a champion

At 3:30 p.m., the first semi-final match between Life University (Cambodia) and the champion team of TNSV VN 2025, Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism, took place. The strength of the Cambodian team was confirmed by the victory in both group stage matches against the host team Ton Duc Thang University (3-1) and the team of Lao University (2-0). In addition to outstanding players such as captain Uk Devin, midfielder Le Songpov, and striker Kea Piseth, the Life University team also has an even force in all positions. "We have carefully watched the past two matches of the Life University team. Indeed, they are a team with strong skills and a strong physical foundation. The Life University team has outstanding individuals who can change the game, play cohesively, coordinate quickly and smoothly, and compete fiercely for the ball. They also make good use of the opportunities they have. This is clearly a strong candidate for the championship title," said coach Nguyen Cong Thanh.

Coach Kong Vechaka of the Life University team has absolute faith in his students and wants them to show their full potential. "We have great respect for the defending champion TNSV Vietnam. They are a team that plays passionately, quickly and organizes the game well. However, our team's goal from the beginning is to aim for the highest title," said coach Kong Vechaka. Meanwhile, coach Nguyen Cong Thanh shared: "Right after the last match of the group stage, the players of the Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism received treatment to recover in order to have the best physical condition for the semi-final match. The whole team also met to discuss the experience of the group stage and aim for the important goal ahead. I want to tell my students that we are only one match away from the final, so they should enter the field with a relaxed spirit, strive to assert themselves and bring honor to the school, family and friends."

Lao University team wants to create surprise

At 6pm, the second semi-final match between Malaysia University and Laos University will take place. This is a match where Malaysia University is considered to be the better team, but the team from the land of a million elephants promises to create a surprise. In the group stage, Malaysia University did not warm up in the opening match, and was held to a 1-1 draw by Nanyang University (Singapore).

The team from Laos played very well.

However, in the next match, this team affirmed its strength with a 1-0 victory over the Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The strength of the Malaysian University team lies in the ability to recover and regulate the match tempo of midfielder number 29 Zikry Bin Hafis. He is considered the soul of the Malaysian University team's playing style, present at most of the hot spots on the field. In attack, the Malaysian University team has striker Haziq Bin Deli with good physique, strength, and independent combat ability, creating sharp and effective attacks despite being closely watched by the opponent's defense. With a balanced force and good performance, coach Mophd Yazli Yahya believes that the Malaysian University team players will continue to promote their beautiful and dedicated playing style along with the victory over the Lao University team to win a ticket to the final match. "For Malaysia University, the championship trophy is not the ultimate goal but what the students show through each match. The whole team comes to the tournament with a spirit of dedication, learning and hoping to have many beautiful memories," said coach Mophd Yazli Yahya.

After losing 0-2 to Life University in the opening match, the Lao University team made a strong comeback with a 2-0 victory over the home team Ton Duc Thang University to win a ticket to the next round. The Lao University team has midfielder Khamkeng and striker Thanousack playing sharply in attack. In terms of strength and playing style, the Lao University team is considered inferior to the Malaysian University team. However, coach Chanthalavong Ampaivanh said that they will have appropriate tactics to overcome the opponent's strength and be ready to create surprises.

The two semi-final matches will be broadcast live on FPT Play and Thanh Nien Newspaper platforms.
