With extensive experience in organizing, this year's event continues to bring useful information and important networking opportunities to attendees.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, Mr. Yoshioka Tomoya, President of JASSO, shared: "Studying in Japan has become a familiar development path for everyone.
At the same time, the need to provide authentic and appropriate information for those who wish to study abroad in Japan is increasing. Hopefully, today's seminar will be a very meaningful opportunity, helping you get closer to your dream of studying abroad in Japan."

In his speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy, President of VAJA, also emphasized: "Our ancestors have a saying 'Traveling a day, learning a basketful of knowledge'. Studying in developed countries, such as Japan, will help young people have a broader, further perspective, and develop their own abilities more comprehensively."
Ms. Thuy believes that four main factors make Japan an ideal study abroad destination: top-quality education, many job opportunities after graduation, unique culture, and reasonable tuition fees.
Currently, Vietnam ranks third in the world in the number of international students in Japan, after China and Nepal, and Ms. Thuy also predicts that this number will continue to increase.

Dr. Nguyen To Chung, Vice President of Phenikaa University : As someone working in the education sector, I have witnessed the growing cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in this field, especially in exchange and study activities of students. I believe that educational exchange and cooperation plays an important role in promoting cooperation between the two countries, helping the two countries to train a quality international human resource to serve the development of both countries. I myself have had the opportunity to study in Japan and have returned to Japan many times for work, and I am very impressed with the quality of education as well as the environment and facilities for education in Japan. I think that Japan is an attractive and quality destination for students who wish to study abroad, especially in the context that the Japanese government is currently increasing its activities to attract and support foreign students. |
Attending the event, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam ITO Naoki said that currently, there are about 280 thousand international students studying in Japan. The Japanese government is working to increase this number to 400 thousand students by 2033.
The Ambassador affirmed that this conference is one of Japan's efforts to promote the attractiveness of its education system, and hopes to have more Vietnamese students come to Japan to study in the future.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Binh, Chairman of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association, former Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan, also expressed hope that in the coming time, more young Vietnamese people will choose Japan to learn and experience.
According to him, each Vietnamese student studying in Japan is not only a knowledge acquirer, but also a cultural ambassador, bringing the image of the country and people of Vietnam closer to international friends.

The conference brought together nearly 50 universities, colleges, vocational schools, Japanese language schools and Japanese educational institutions.
Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss directly with school representatives about scholarships, English-taught programs, the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), and valuable scholarship opportunities such as the Japanese Government Scholarship (MEXT) and JASSO Scholarship.
In addition, they can also participate in specialized presentations such as "Overview of studying in Japan", "Scholarships for studying in Japan" and "Sharing experiences of studying in Japan".
The 2024 Study Abroad in Japan Seminar not only provides learning opportunities, but is also a place to connect the dreams and ambitions of young Vietnamese people who want to reach out to the world.
With the strong development of cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, along with the Japanese Government's policies to support international students, studying in the land of cherry blossoms is becoming a bright choice for the future of many young people.
