According to the sources, the UAV attacks were said to have targeted the Ash Shaddadi base in the northern Syrian province of Hasakah. However, the armed group’s statement did not provide information about casualties or damage.
Previously, on October 27, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder confirmed that US and coalition forces had been attacked at least 14 times in Iraq and 6 times in Syria using both UAVs and rockets since October 17.
Powerful explosions rocked the Koniko natural gas field, home to a key US military base, in Syria's eastern Deir al-Zour province on Thursday evening, Syrian media reported.
Another explosion was also recorded in the Thiban area in Syria's Deir al-Zour countryside, where US forces are also stationed.
Also on the 27th and 28th, a US base in the Shaddadi area in the rural Hasakah province in northeastern Syria also saw at least two explosions. Meanwhile, according to information from the Pentagon, the US military intercepted a drone attack plot on the US air base in Erbil, Iraq.
In a related development, on October 28, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian announced that new fronts would be created against the US if it continued to support Israel. Iran is a country with a large Shiite Muslim population and has many forces believed to be against Israel and the US.
