On November 27, Hamas representative Sami Abu Zuhri said the group "appreciates" Lebanon's right to reach an agreement to protect its people, and hopes for an agreement to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
"Hamas appreciates the right of Lebanon and Hezbollah to reach an agreement to protect the Lebanese people. We hope this agreement will pave the way for reaching an agreement to end the conflict against us in Gaza," Zuhri told Reuters .
"We are committed to cooperating with all efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza. We are interested in ending the attacks on our people," Zuhri stressed.

A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon took effect on November 27, after both sides accepted a deal brokered by the United States and France.
The ceasefire promises to end the Israeli-Lebanese cross-border conflict that has killed thousands since the Gaza war erupted last year.
Meanwhile, international efforts to end the 13-month war between Hamas and Israel in Gaza remain stalled.
"Hamas has shown great flexibility in reaching an agreement and remains committed to that position and its desire to reach an agreement to end the war in Gaza," Zuhri said, blaming Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu for the failure to reach a ceasefire.
According to Reuters, Hamas wants a deal to end the war in Gaza with the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the area, exchanging Israeli and foreign hostages for Palestinians held by Israel, while Mr. Netanyahu claims the war can only end after the overthrow of Hamas.
Mediator Qatar said it told both sides it would pause efforts until they were ready to make concessions.
US President Joe Biden said on November 26, after announcing a ceasefire reached between Israel and Hezbollah, that his administration is pushing for a ceasefire in Gaza.
