How to view deleted messages on Messenger

Viewing recalled messages on Messenger can be done on both phones and computers. Each phone brand has a different way of doing it.

1. View Recalled Messages on Messenger Using iPhone

3. View Recalled Messages on Messenger Using Xiaomi

To view recalled messages on Messenger using Xiaomi phones, we use the Notification Log feature. However, this feature is not integrated on some devices. In this case, we perform the following steps to view recalled messages:

Step 1: Users access CH Play > Search and download the MIUI Downloader application.

Step 2: After downloading the application, open the application. In the function section, click on Hid. Features to see the features your device does not have > select Adaptive Notifications to go to the Advanced Notifications section.

Step 3: Here you access the Notification Log section to review the recalled messages. You need to note that you must turn on Use notification log first.

4. How to view recalled messages on Messenger using OPPO

Similar to Samsung, viewing recalled messages on OPPO phones is quite easy because it has a built-in feature. The steps are as follows:

Step 1: Go to Settings > Click Notifications and status bar > Go to Notification management.

Step 2: Click Notification History > Turn on the Notification History activation bar.

Step 3: Finally, look at the Notification History section to read the deleted Messenger messages.

5. View recalled messages on Messenger using PC, Laptop

To view recall messages on PC, laptop you use the History Remove Messages application.

Step 1: First you download the application by accessing this link:

Step 2: Next, go to Chrome Extensions > Turn on Developer Mode.

Step 3: Then select “Load unpacked” > “History Remove Messages” > Copy that extension ID.

Step 4: Once you have finished extracting the History Remove Messages file, select the util.js file > Click “edit” > Paste the copied ID above into the location as shown in the illustration > Press Ctrl + S to save.

Step 5: Next, go back to Chrome Extension > Click on the refresh icon to update the History Remove Messages extension. Finally, you just need to access Messenger from your computer's browser > Click on the installed extension icon to see the entire history of deleted messages on the Messenger application.
