Doing well in promoting learning is not only a motivation for teachers and learners but also promotes learning in the whole society.
Over the years, many students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies have been supported to go to school or university in many different ways. However, in reality, there are still many students who have economic difficulties, family circumstances or psychological events that hinder their learning and development.
Therefore, in recent times, the Hai Ba Trung District Association for the Promotion of Education (Hanoi) has actively implemented activities related to the promotion of education, talent, and the building of a learning society. In particular, the district focuses on supporting students with outstanding achievements and students with difficult circumstances but determined to study well. In the past few years alone, the District Association for the Promotion of Education at all levels has rewarded and supported students with billions of VND each year.
To "give wings" to students to have better learning conditions, according to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Vice Chairwoman of Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee, the locality needs to implement a number of practical solutions.
First of all, it is necessary to establish and maintain scholarship funds. This is a practical work, helping education promotion activities have more specific resources and effective tools to effectively implement policies to promote education and talent in the community.
These scholarship funds, in addition to encouraging students with good academic performance, good grades, and talent, are also intended to sponsor students with especially difficult circumstances and strong will. This will be a support to help make their lives less difficult, and add spirit, strength, and determination so that they do not give up their studies.
In addition, other financial support is needed. For example, schools and educational institutions can offer tuition exemption policies for disadvantaged students to help them reduce their financial burden.
Currently, schools in the district have paid special attention to poor students who have overcome difficulties in many different ways such as supporting scholarships from the scholarship fund; giving bicycles, desks and chairs...
The study loan program is another financial support channel. For many years, policy credit capital has supported thousands of students from difficult circumstances to have better conditions to pursue their study dreams and create jobs for the future. Supporting them with loans with low or no interest rates to cover study costs and allowing them to repay after graduation has helped them focus on their studies.
Another solution is to create a learning and training environment. By organizing free or reduced-cost extra classes, students will have the opportunity to supplement their knowledge and strengthen necessary skills. In addition, schools can facilitate students to borrow or receive free learning materials, from textbooks, lectures to online learning tools.
Schools need to promptly encourage and reward typical examples of overcoming difficulties to study well to encourage the spirit of overcoming difficulties. This will create great motivation for students and those around them. In addition, schools can share success stories by inviting former students who have overcome difficulties to succeed, inspiring them to be more confident in their abilities.
According to Ms. Hien, investing in education is investing in development. Supporting students to overcome difficulties and achieve good academic results is an important task for families, schools and society.
However, incentive solutions need to be implemented synchronously among departments, sectors, organizations, businesses and the community to create a favorable learning environment, encouraging students to strive to excel. By helping students overcome difficulties to study well, we not only develop quality human resources for society but also build generations with will and determination, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
