Leaders of Bac Giang province attended the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho

On the morning of February 3, the People's Committee of Bac Giang city organized the launching ceremony of "Tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho - Spring At Ty 2025" at the project "Renovating sidewalks around the Provincial Cultural - Exhibition Center and sidewalks of Bac Giang Provincial Court".

Attending the tree planting ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Van Gau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Viet Oanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of the province and leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province. Leaders of Bac Giang city included comrade Vu Tri Hai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee; Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches and organizations of Bac Giang city.

At the launching ceremony, Chairman of Bac Giang City People's Committee Dang Dinh Hoan highlighted the significance and importance of the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho - Spring At Ty 2025". Following Uncle Ho's teaching "Spring is Tet tree planting, making the country more and more springy" and Directive No. 45-CT/TTg dated December 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister, the Program of planting one billion green trees associated with the consistent message "For a green Vietnam", the "Tet tree planting" movement has been widely spread by authorities at all levels, localities and people nationwide.

Remembering Uncle Ho's teachings, Bac Giang City always identifies tree planting as an important task, closely linked to the comprehensive development of the city. After 4 years of implementation, thanks to the joint efforts of all classes of people and the business community, the whole city has planted over 3.36 million trees, reaching 82% of the target; over 6 thousand urban trees along each street and area with a unique character. Thereby, the quality of the city's living environment has been significantly improved. For many consecutive years, Bac Giang City has been evaluated as one of the "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful" cities in the Association of Vietnamese Cities.

In order to be determined to exceed the assigned targets and strive to build Bac Giang City into a green and smart city, at the launching ceremony, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang City requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, agencies and localities in the city to continue to promote extensive propaganda in many forms to the masses about the purpose and meaning of "Tree Planting Festival".

Localities organize to review, adjust, supplement planning, deploy and develop tree planting plans associated with agricultural development, tourism development, and green urban construction. Organize tree planting campaigns associated with the "Green Sunday" movement for all cadres, party members and people to participate in.

Selecting suitable plants for each urban area; relic sites and rural residential areas. Organizing tree planting campaigns associated with the “Green Sunday” movement for all cadres, party members and people to participate in.

Agencies, departments, branches, wards and communes need to actively carry out tree planting work right from the first days of the year, strive to complete the tree planting plan for 2025 early, contributing to completing and improving the city's environmental criteria; at the same time, continue to take care of the planted trees to create nuances, landscapes, and a fresh face for the city.

At the launching ceremony, delegates planted 27 Taiwan Banyan trees with a root diameter of 16-18 cm and a height of over 5 m, at the Project "Renovation of pavement around the Cultural - Exhibition Center of the province and the sidewalk of the Bac Giang Provincial Court", Southern Urban Area of Bac Giang City.
