Recently, the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Green Wave Awards, when announcing the nomination categories, shared some notable information about the case of singer Jack - J97 (real name Trinh Tran Phuong Tuan, 27 years old, from Ben Tre) when asked why he and the song Thien Ly Oi were not included in the nominations, even though this song had appeared for many weeks on the Green Wave chart.

But with an award ceremony that honors and glorifies, in addition to recording market data, we also focus on the artist's image. For artists whose images are still controversial, we would like to not include them in the Lan Song Xanh nominations. Because at that time, it would also cause controversy with the honor factor. This is also the aesthetic orientation, the quality requirement of an award that Lan Song Xanh has followed for many years. If in the coming years, that artist can transform, creating a positive impact on the community, society and fans, Lan Song Xanh will record as usual".

The Organizing Committee of the Mai Vang Award of the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper also said that although the categories are nominated by the audience, for many years now the Organizing Committee has proactively considered removing the names of singers and artists with bad private lives, negatively affecting the public's aesthetic perception. Accordingly, in the categories of Male Singer/Rapper, or Song of the Year, there are completely no scandalous faces; and currently the nomination list belongs to Rhyder Quang Anh, Hieuthuhai, Quang Hung MasterD, Soobin Hoang Son, ST Son Thach... It can be seen that male singer Jack or a few other names with "bad images" are also not present in the category of Impressive Young Faces in the field of culture and art of the VTV Awards, while Rhyder Quang Anh, Hieuthuhai continue to appear alongside Double2T, Phuong My Chi...

Therefore, any singer or artist who intentionally causes shock or creates negative scandals in the entertainment industry will "lose their place" in the annual award lists.
Social networks are currently paying attention to Jack's "response" action after he was eliminated from the nomination of Lan Song Xanh 2024 due to many scandals. On his personal page with a huge number of followers and interactions, Jack posted a photo with Lan Song Xanh trophies, one of which had its top broken off. Around the trophy were 500,000 VND bills and a sunflower painting praising a fan for his beautiful drawing. Most netizens expressed outrage and said that Jack's action was "indirectly criticizing" the Organizing Committee of Lan Song Xanh and made the audience turn their backs on him, when he received many critical comments such as "Jack is proving that Lan Song Xanh did the right thing".
