MU returns to Southeast Asia after 3 years
The last time Manchester United (MU) toured a Southeast Asian country was in July 2022. An English derby between MU and Liverpool took place at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok (Thailand). Many world-class stars from both teams appeared in this match, but the most anticipated player, Cristiano Ronaldo from MU, was absent, making the joy of the fans incomplete.

In this return to Southeast Asia, MU will come to Malaysia with a squad of their brightest stars. MU's tour director Christoffer Komen recently shared: "You can count on seeing top stars. Leading the team will be captain Bruno Fernandes. Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro will also be present and hopefully Amad Diallo will recover from injury in time. We will bring a performance of our all". Sponsor Paul Kam, owner of ProEvents Company - the organizer of MU's tour - also revealed that there is a clause in place to ensure that the "Red Devils of Manchester" will bring their famous players. Sharing with the media, Mr. Paul Kam said: "There is a contract between the club and me, in which there are terms and measures for both sides to protect each other's interests".
At present, the MU squad playing in the Premier League has a total value of about 700 million euros, according to the valuation of the transfer website Transfermarkt. The highest-valued names of the Old Trafford team at the moment are Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro, with 55 million euros each. Next, Manuel Ugarte is valued at 50 million euros, Lisandro Martinez, Ramus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho 45 million euros, Matthijs de Ligt, Amad Diallo 40 million euros...
Previously, the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) entrusted the task of leading the ASEAN All Stars team to the head coach of the Vietnamese team, Kim Sang-sik. This will be a great opportunity for coach Kim Sang-sik and the stars of Southeast Asian football to compete and gain practical experience with one of the most traditional and successful football clubs in the world. The ASEAN All Stars team will include excellent players selected from 12 AFF member federations (11 countries in the Southeast Asian region and Australia). Excellent players of the Vietnamese team such as Nguyen Tien Linh, Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Hoang Duc... will have the opportunity to compete with the stars of the club from the foggy country. Meanwhile, the Australian team will likely contribute many names to the ASEAN All Stars team, as the kangaroo country's football has competed many times in the world's largest tournament, the World Cup.
