The Food Safety Department proposed to strictly handle advertising activities that violate regulations of the food supplement product SUPERGREENS GUMMIES (Kera vegetable candy).
The Food Safety Department has sent an official dispatch to the authorities regarding the advertisement of the food supplement product SUPERGREENS GUMMIES (Kera vegetable candy), a product announced by the Sisters Basket Group Joint Stock Company and manufactured by ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company.
This product is being heavily advertised on platforms such as websites, Facebook, and Tiktok, with incorrect information about its quality, causing public outrage.

According to information received by the Food Safety Department, the Kera Vegetable Candy product has seriously violated food advertising regulations, especially with false claims such as "one candy is equivalent to a plate of vegetables" without scientific basis. This causes misunderstanding and negatively affects consumer awareness.
Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the Food Safety Department quickly directed and sent an official dispatch to the Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Department requesting an inspection of the activities of the Sisters Basket Group Joint Stock Company.
The Department requested the agency to strictly inspect the production, publication and advertising conditions of Kera Vegetable Candy products, strictly handle violations (if any) and publicize the inspection results on the mass media.
According to the document, the Food Safety Department requested the Dak Lak Department of Health to direct the inspection of the operations of ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company, especially the production processes of Kera Vegetable Candy products at the licensed production line. The Department requested this agency to strictly handle violations (if any) and publicly announce the inspection results to the community.
Notably, a number of celebrities and influencers in the community, including artists and KOLs (key opinion leaders), have participated in advertising this product on platforms such as Facebook, Tiktok and livestreams. This has increased the spread of false advertising, leading to discontent in the online community.
To ensure that the law is strictly enforced, the Food Safety Department has also sent an official dispatch to the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information and the Department of Grassroots Culture - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requesting coordination in inspecting violations and strictly handling advertising acts that do not comply with regulations.
This incident once again warns consumers about choosing dietary supplements. While these products can be beneficial when used properly, lack of transparency and inaccurate advertising can mislead consumers, especially when the product does not provide the nutrients as advertised.
The Food Safety Authority recommends that consumers be cautious when receiving information advertised online, especially products with excessive promises or without solid scientific basis. It is extremely important to carefully check and seek information from competent authorities before using nutritional supplements.
