Previously, on September 30, at Hon Anh Dong shooting range (Kien Giang), combat ship squadrons of Brigade 127, Brigade 175, Naval Region 5 Command practiced live-fire exercises 5a, 5b (using weapons in the inventory to destroy targets in the air and at sea during the day and at night).

In order for the live-fire test to take place as planned and achieve the set goals and requirements, the Naval Region 5 Command coordinated with local authorities and relevant agencies to notify fishermen not to exploit seafood in unsafe areas; at the same time, dozens of ships and boats were organized to clean the shooting range and provide warning for the combat ship squadrons to carry out their missions.

During the live-fire practice, officers and soldiers of the ships strictly followed the commander's orders and safety regulations; skillfully implemented combat layout tables; skillfully operated and used technical equipment; calmly and confidently destroyed targets right from the first rounds of fire.

The live-fire test aimed to test the combat readiness of the ships; the level of command and control of the ship by the staff; the basic movements and skills of the soldiers in using weapons; the results of the training in coordination in combat support of the ship formations; the technical condition, features and synchronous operation of the technical equipment. On that basis, experience was drawn and added to the combat plan and training plan of the unit in the coming time.
Shooting test results: 100% passed good and excellent, unit absolutely safe.
