NDO - On December 11th, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the Command of Naval Region 5 organized a training course for ship officers in 2025. Colonel Trinh Xuan Tung, Commander of the Region, attended and directed the event.
Participating in the training course were officers from various agencies and units, as well as ship officers from Brigade 127 and Brigade 175.
The training content includes maritime, engineering, and regulations. It focuses on the topographical and meteorological conditions, the waterway system of the Southwest Sea region; ship maneuvering methods; maritime safety regulations; maintenance and upkeep of technical equipment; and the regulations of the Vietnam People's Navy.

The training course aims to cultivate, consolidate, supplement, and enhance specialized knowledge in maritime affairs, technical work, and regulations for ship officers; serving as a basis for implementation at the unit, meeting the requirements of training and combat readiness in the new situation.
In his directive speech, Colonel Trinh Xuan Tung requested that the ship's officers participating in the training course uphold a high sense of responsibility, actively explore and research the content, and proactively absorb and firmly grasp the knowledge imparted by the instructors, especially new and important issues. From there, they should effectively apply this knowledge to their practical work, contributing to the successful completion of their assigned tasks.
