On May 23, a delegation from the General Department of Logistics, Ministry of National Defense, led by Major General Pham Manh Cuong, Deputy Head of the General Department of Logistics, inspected the logistics work of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard.

Colonel Tran Thanh Duc, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard, reported that the Party Committee and the Command have led and directed the good logistics work to serve regular training tasks, combat readiness and sudden tasks. The quality of life of officers and soldiers has been improved.
Notably, 100% of the base units maintain centralized kitchens, organize 3 meals a day, ensure quality, hygiene, food safety, the average food ration reaches 3,300 - 3,400 Kcal/person/day. The rate of healthy soldiers reaches 98.6%. The unit manages and uses 22 defense land points with an area of 127,219 m2 , 100% of the unit's barracks have a full protection system, preventing encroachment and disputes over defense land.
“The Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard has completed the work of preparing an investment policy report to soon build the Thanh An Border Guard Station and the Con Ngua Border Control Station. These were once hot spots for illegal sand mining and transportation in the waters of Can Gio, Ho Chi Minh City,” commented Colonel Tran Thanh Duc.

Major General Pham Manh Cuong highly appreciated the efforts of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard and the timely and adequate provision of materials and equipment for the unit to perform well its border guard tasks.
Major General Pham Manh Cuong also requested the unit to promote the emulation movement "The Military Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings" to achieve practical results, contributing to building the military logistics sector to be increasingly strong, disciplined, modern, meeting all requirements of building and defending the Fatherland.
