Lao Cai Border Guard reviews the Standing Committee and individual leaders in 2024

On November 12, the Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Party Committee held a conference to review self-criticism and criticism in 2024.

Attending and directing the conference were Colonel Vu Quoc An, Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command; Chief of Staff, functional departments of the Border Guard Political Department; representatives of Party committees of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee.

In 2024, the Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Party Committee thoroughly grasped, concretized and led and directed the strict implementation of resolutions, directives, regulations and rules; regularly promoted responsibility, well implemented the principles of Party organization and activities, especially the principles of democratic centralism, collective leadership, individual responsibility, self-criticism and criticism; focused on leading and directing agencies and units to well fulfill the tasks of management, firmly protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.

The Party Committee Standing Committee always focuses on Party building and rectification, especially the fight against corruption, negativity, waste and preventing and repelling signs of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the Party in conjunction with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and lifestyle; Party inspection, supervision and discipline work. It has proactively coordinated and advised superiors and Party committees, local authorities on border work and building the Provincial Border Guard to meet requirements and tasks; led the building of a clean and strong Party organization, a comprehensively strong unit "exemplary - typical" achieved many results, improving the quality and effectiveness of border work tasks.

Delegates attending the conference focused on analyzing and evaluating the achievements in the leadership of the Standing Committee and individual members of the Standing Committee, the head of the Command, and at the same time pointed out the difficulties and advantages in the process of leading and directing border work. The conference assessed the advantages, pointed out the shortcomings and shortcomings in the leadership and direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee in 2024; clearly identified the causes and responsibilities of the Standing Committee and each member. On that basis, policies and solutions were proposed to promote the advantages and overcome the limitations in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Vu Quoc An, Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results in leadership, direction and implementation of tasks of the Standing Committee and Party Committee of the Provincial Border Guard. In particular, the outstanding work is the management and protection of territorial sovereignty and national border security; search and rescue work, helping people overcome the consequences of storm No. 3; performing well in border diplomacy; fighting against all types of crimes with high results; participating in building and consolidating the grassroots political system, developing the economy, culture and society in the border area.

Colonel Vu Quoc An requested the Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Party Committee to be determined to overcome limitations and shortcomings; focus on leadership, direction, dissemination, and serious and effective implementation of resolutions, conclusions, plans, directives, and orders of all levels on "promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style". Improve the quality of professional measures; grasp and accurately forecast the situation early and from afar, absolutely not to be passive and surprised in order to promptly advise the Border Guard Command, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee on policies and solutions to handle promptly and effectively right from the grassroots level, not to let hot spots occur; continue to maintain good coordination regulations with departments, branches, sectors, border localities, and forces at border gates; Building a solid border defense posture, a comprehensively strong "exemplary - typical" unit associated with building a clean and strong Party organization, successfully completing the task of managing and firmly protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.
