Meeting with generations of provincial Border Guard officers

This afternoon, February 28, the Party Committee and Command of the Border Guard of Quang Tri province held a meeting with generations of cadres to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day on March 3 (1959-2024) and the 35th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day on March 3 (1989-2024).

At the meeting, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, Colonel Dinh Xuan Hung summarized the achievements of officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard in protecting territorial sovereignty, national security, participating in socio-economic development of border and island areas in 2023 and key activities in 2024.

In an excited and proud atmosphere, delegates reviewed the 65-year tradition of the Border Guard force and the 35th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day.

Over 65 years of construction, fighting and development, generations of officers and soldiers of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard have always been aware of their responsibilities, absolutely loyal to the Party and State, devoted to the People, upholding the spirit of revolutionary vigilance, intelligence, courage, overcoming all difficulties and hardships and excellently completing their tasks, worthy of being the core and specialized force in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.

During 65 years of building, fighting and growing up of the Border Guard in general and the provincial Border Guard in particular, generations of officers and soldiers of the provincial Border Guard have made great contributions to the cause of building, managing and protecting national border security and sovereignty, building a comprehensively strong provincial Border Guard. After retirement, the provincial Border Guard officers have promoted the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", being exemplary in all aspects, contributing to the construction and development of the homeland and the country.

At the meeting, retired provincial Border Guard officers expressed their joy at the results achieved by the provincial Border Guard force in recent years. At the same time, they believed that the officers and soldiers of the provincial Border Guard would continue to uphold their traditions, overcome all difficulties and challenges, maintain their faith, and firmly defend the national border security and sovereignty, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
