Binh Dinh cooperates with VinUni University to promote green growth

DNVN – Binh Dinh Province cooperates with VinUni University to strengthen the development and implementation of management and technology solutions to promote green transformation and green growth in all economic and social aspects of the province.

On the morning of December 10, in Quy Nhon City, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province and VinUni University (VinUni - part of Vingroup) held a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to develop the Green Growth Project of Binh Dinh Province for the period 2025 - 2030.

Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan and Dr. Le Mai Lan - Chairman of VinUni University Council signed a memorandum of understanding.

At the ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee and Dr. Le Mai Lan - Vice Chairman of Vingroup Corporation, Chairman of VinUni Council, signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to promote green transformation and green growth, strengthen cooperation in building and implementing management and technology solutions to promote green transformation and green growth in all economic and social aspects for Binh Dinh province.

Regarding cooperation methods, the two sides share information and connect domestic and foreign resources on science, technology and innovation related to green transformation and green growth on the basis of compliance with the provisions of Vietnamese law.

Coordinate the implementation of consulting, research, training activities, organize conferences, workshops and events on green transformation and green growth. Research, develop and implement the Green Transformation Project of Binh Dinh province for the period 2025-2030; organize monitoring and evaluation of project implementation results.

In particular, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province presides over the development and implementation of the Green Growth Project of Binh Dinh province for the period 2025-2030; organizes monitoring and evaluation of project implementation results; organizes research, training, coaching, conferences, seminars and events on green transformation and green growth.

VinUni will advise on the development and implementation of the Green Transformation Project for Binh Dinh Province in the period of 2025-2030; support the connection of domestic and foreign resources to implement programs and projects according to the project, coordinate the implementation of research, training, coaching, conferences, seminars and events on green transformation and green growth.

According to Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, in July 2023, the province issued a green growth action plan for the period 2023 - 2030, with the aim of organizing the implementation of Decision No. 1658 of the Prime Minister approving the National Strategy on green growth for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

To achieve this goal, there are many criteria and standards that need to be implemented, including restructuring and perfecting economic institutions towards greening existing economic sectors and encouraging economic sectors to effectively use clean energy and resources with high added value.

Research and widely apply advanced technologies to optimize and effectively use natural resources, help reduce emissions and combat climate change; improve people's lives, build a green, environmentally friendly lifestyle.

“VinUni needs to survey, calculate carefully, and evaluate the feasibility of the projects in the implementation organization, from which to recommend to the province the order of priority in the implementation process. Ensure that the output of the project must develop specific policy recommendations for the province,” the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province suggested.
