On the morning of October 9, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) organized a program to honor 95 outstanding union officials in the province in 2024 on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the establishment of Thanh Hoa Union (October 10, 1946 - October 10, 2024); deploying the forum "Innovation, creativity in economic and social development to build a civilized and prosperous Thanh Hoa homeland" for the period 2024-2030.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Vo Manh Son, Provincial Party Committee member, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized: In recent years, Thanh Hoa Trade Union has innovated its content and methods, improved its operational efficiency, and performed well its functions of participating in State management and socio-economic management. Proactively advising the Party Committee, together with the government, the Fatherland Front, agencies, units, and enterprises to organize the implementation of regimes and policies related to workers, especially in the fields of wages, social insurance, health insurance, occupational safety and hygiene, etc., contributing to limiting the occurrence of illegal collective work stoppages and strikes.

Trade unions at all levels have synchronously and comprehensively deployed all aspects of work with many breakthroughs and creativity in thinking and methods of organizing emulation movements, rising to the group of leading trade union units nationwide; arousing the creative labor potential of cadres, union members, workers, civil servants and laborers (CNVCLĐ), contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

Determined to successfully complete the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Resolution of the 20th Congress of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union and receive the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030 taking place in 2025, striving to build Thanh Hoa by 2030 to basically become a modern industrial province.

In order to further develop the trade union work of Thanh Hoa province, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Lai The Nguyen requested that all levels of trade unions in the province continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, the State's and the province's policies and laws on trade union work, focusing on Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo "On innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation", the Action Plan of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to implement Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW.

Do a good job of political and ideological education, improve political capacity, class awareness, foster patriotism, national pride, and awareness of law compliance; make each cadre, union member, and laborer clearly aware of the historical mission of their class towards the cause of industrialization and modernization of the homeland and country; arouse the will to rise up and be determined not to accept poverty and backwardness, to use their strength and intelligence to enrich themselves, their families, and their homeland and country.

Play a good role as a representative, care for, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; consider this as the key content to attract a large number of workers to join the trade union organization. Improve the quality of dialogue, collective bargaining, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the enterprise. Pay attention to improving the material and spiritual life of workers; mobilize resources to care for workers, especially workers in difficult circumstances, contributing to ensuring social security. Actively coordinate with authorities at all levels and employers to strengthen training, foster new knowledge, skills and expertise for workers to access scientific, technical and new knowledge advances; promote the self-study movement, improve professional qualifications associated with labor and production practices, apply new science and technology, create higher productivity, quality and efficiency.

Take care to consolidate, build and perfect the model of trade union organizations at all levels that are equal to their tasks, truly a socio-political organization, a large mass organization of workers; representing the strength, intelligence and interests of workers and laborers. Strongly innovate the content and methods of trade union activities in accordance with new requirements; strongly focus on the grassroots, grasp the situation of the grassroots, promptly remove difficulties for the grassroots; innovate emulation movements in accordance with the characteristics of each industry, locality and unit with the goal of "Productivity - quality - efficiency", ensuring employment and increasing income, improving the lives of workers, promoting economic growth, completing the political tasks of localities, agencies and enterprises.

Carry out well the task of building the working class, worthy of being the core force, leading the cause of innovation, industrialization and modernization of the homeland and country. Promote the development of union members, establish grassroots union organizations in all economic sectors, especially in enterprises with a large number of workers and laborers.
