The thick fog on the night of January 18th did not seem to dampen the excitement of the border festival. Amidst the spring colors of the border, thousands of people were present, participating in many meaningful activities to welcome the new year. For them, this year's Tet came earlier and was more joyful than every year...

Early Tet in the border

Still smiling after each meeting, village elder Clau Blao (Voong village, Tr'Hy commune) said that this year's Tet has really come early to the people in the border area because the border spring festival was organized on a large scale and very thoughtfully. That is the precious sentiment that the provincial leaders, Border Guard officers and soldiers, and philanthropists bring, helping to warm the cold of late winter in the border area.

“Everyone put aside their year-end work to attend the program. They come to have fun and bring home Tet gifts. It has been organized for many years, this is the first time the border spring festival has taken place on a large scale, so everyone is happy and joyful” - Elder Clau Blao shared.

Bustling like a spring market with a full range of prepared items, the “Zero-VND stall” was organized to give essential goods to the people in the border area. Each household received gifts from the benefactors, and the joy between them seemed to overflow “without borders”.

Mr. Briu Bang - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tr'Hy commune said that almost all local households and neighboring border communes received gifts. In addition to support packages for especially disadvantaged households, many "open spaces" like this were implemented at the spring festival.

According to Mr. Briu Bang, every year, Tr'Hy Border Post organizes the program "Spring Border Guard - Warming the hearts of the villagers" but the scale is not as large as this year. However, the people are still warmed by the hundreds of gifts given, adding joy to help people welcome a warm spring.

For people in the border area, Tet came very early this year, which is very joyful,” Mr. Briu Bang confided.

Spread the good

Held for the 10th time, this year's program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers" took place with many meaningful activities towards the disadvantaged people.

In addition to supporting 24 breeding cows, 16 "Border Shelter" houses and 5 "Lighting up the Border Area" projects, the accompanying units organized and presented thousands of gifts to village elders, village chiefs, prestigious people and students with especially difficult circumstances in the Tay Giang border communes.

With special affection for the people in the mountainous areas, many spaces for celebrating spring and supporting gifts were organized and given directly to the needy people with a total cost of more than 4.3 billion VND.
