Recently, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG) held a signing ceremony for a comprehensive cooperation agreement for the period 2024 - 2029, marking an important development step in the relationship between the two units.

Under the cooperation agreement, BIDV will provide comprehensive financial solutions and modern banking services to meet the diverse and specific needs of VRG. At the same time, BIDV will also allocate resources to support the Group's investment and business development plans.

BIDV is the oldest bank and has the largest total assets in Vietnam, reaching over 2.5 million billion VND (equivalent to 101 billion USD) by September 30, 2024. VRG is an economic group that plays a pioneering, core role and is the center of strategic planning for the development of the Vietnamese rubber industry.

The cooperation between the two leading enterprises in the country is not only an important milestone in the development journey of BIDV and VRG but also opens up many opportunities for strong and sustainable growth in providing superior financial services to VRG and its member units.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD) of BIDV Phan Duc Tu emphasized that the rubber industry not only holds a key position, making an important contribution to economic development, national security and social security, but is also an indispensable link in the industrial supply chain, contributing to promoting the country's industrialization.

In the trend of sustainable development, along with the Group's orientation to promote high-tech agriculture and industrial park real estate investment, BIDV is ready to accompany the Group through Green financial services, Green banking and financial consulting to help VRG achieve strategic goals, contributing to the common prosperity of the socio-economy.

VRG Chairman Tran Cong Kha shared that the comprehensive cooperation agreement between BIDV and VRG will help the two units promote their strengths, exploit their existing potentials, bring mutual benefits and enhance the competitiveness of each party. VRG always believes and will devote the best resources to cooperate with BIDV, together towards the goal of building and developing a prosperous Vietnam.
