BIDV organizes the final round of the "Cultural Ambassador" Contest

On October 22 in Hanoi, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) organized the Final Round of the BIDV Cultural Ambassador Contest 2024 - an activity to spread the corporate culture of a leading financial institution in the country.

After more than 67 years of development, in addition to performing business tasks, BIDV has always clearly recognized the importance and focused on promoting the construction and fostering of corporate culture, creating a foundation for the bank's sustainable development. In the Business Development Strategy to 2025, vision to 2030, BIDV identified: "Human Resources and Corporate Culture" as 1 of the 3 pillars of the bank's development. BIDV has standardized Corporate Culture, issued the BIDV Culture Handbook with 5 core values: Intelligence - Trust - Integrity - Professionalism - Aspiration, expressed through the phrase "iBIDV", associated with the BIDV brand image positioned in the hearts of customers and the public as "Intelligent Companion".

In April 2024, BIDV launched the "BIDV Cultural Ambassador" Contest with the following goals: promoting the emulation movement to study, practice and spread BIDV Corporate Culture; turning cultural standards into practical actions, thereby improving service quality, creating BIDV's own style and mark... bringing the best benefits to customers, shareholders, employees and the community.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of BIDV, Deputy Head of the Competition Steering Committee said: The dissemination of BIDV culture does not stop at the internal scope, but also extends to the community, customers and partners, so that everyone, when mentioning BIDV, thinks of a bank that is not only strong and prestigious but also humane, responsible and dedicated to customers. "BIDV Cultural Ambassadors will play an important role in continuing to preserve and promote BIDV's good cultural values, serving as a bridge to inspire each BIDV officer to imbue every thought and action, overcome all challenges and achieve new achievements, contributing to building BIDV increasingly strong and sustainable development", said Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang.

On April 26, 1957, the Prime Minister signed Decree No. 177/TTg establishing the Bank for Construction of Vietnam (the predecessor of today's BIDV). 67 years of proud development with the country, BIDV has made positive contributions to the common success of the cause of protecting, building and developing the Vietnamese Fatherland. After an exciting and meaningful journey with rounds: online round, unit round, regional round from the enthusiastic participation of nearly 22 thousand officers. After many rounds, the Organizing Committee selected 80 excellent candidates to participate in the BIDV system-wide Final Round. These are typical individuals, not only good at professional expertise, but also have a deep understanding of BIDV culture. The BIDV Cultural Ambassador Contest Final Round consists of 3 parts: Introduction, Knowledge and Behavior, designed to comprehensively assess the candidates' abilities. After exciting and dramatic rounds, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 9 Consolation Prizes to excellent candidates; at the same time, announced 6 Cultural Ambassadors of the BIDV system. The ambassadors will carry the mission of inspiring and spreading BIDV culture throughout the system, bringing cultural values ​​into the thoughts, actions and habits of each BIDV officer. The BIDV Cultural Ambassador Contest 2024 is a new milestone on the journey of spreading and fostering BIDV culture - an important foundation for BIDV to develop sustainably, towards realizing BIDV's Vision by 2030 of "Becoming a leading financial institution in Southeast Asia, with the best digital platform in Vietnam, striving to be among the 100 largest banks in Asia".

During the organization of the 2024 Cultural Ambassador Competition, storm No. 3 (Yagi) swept into our country, causing huge losses in human lives and property in many northern provinces and cities. Promoting the value of sharing with the community and society, responding to the direction of the Government, the State Bank, the call and mobilization of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, BIDV has proactively reviewed and assessed the damage of customers as well as had policies to support and remove difficulties for customers such as cutting interest rates by up to 2%/year with a total outstanding loan balance applying interest rate reduction of VND 100,000 billion. In addition, BIDV also actively supported and implemented activities to support people affected by storm No. 3 with a total value of over VND 120 billion. At the same time, through the BIDV Cultural Ambassador Contest 2024, BIDV awarded branches with high-achieving candidates a total of VND 11.5 billion to carry out social security activities.
