Talking with the British Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy highly appreciated the areas in which the UK has strengths and Ho Chi Minh City has needs such as education, healthcare, technology, etc. In particular, Ho Chi Minh City wishes to cooperate with the UK in digital transformation and modernization of the healthcare sector. Healthcare data management and the pharmaceutical industry are also areas that the city wants to develop.
Therefore, comrade Tran Thi Dieu Thuy believes that the potential for cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and the UK in the medical field is huge.
Regarding education, the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee suggested that the two sides strengthen cooperation, such as the UK considering opening more facilities of the British University Vietnam (BUV) in Ho Chi Minh City, so that people in the city as well as the southern region can enjoy quality education from the UK.

In addition, comrade Tran Thi Dieu Thuy also hopes that the two sides will promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges and hopes that one day in the near future she will see the Liverpool football team and British artists come to Ho Chi Minh City to play friendly matches and perform.
British Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Marcus Winsley was pleased to see that cooperation in many fields between the UK and Vietnam in general, and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, has been developing continuously in recent times.
Mr. Marcus Winsley assessed that in the medical field, the UK and Ho Chi Minh City are cooperating more and more deeply, and the latest proof is the Business Forum on Innovation in the Medical Field successfully held in Ho Chi Minh City on March 17.

The British Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam said that the cooperation agreement between Alder Hey Hospital and Children's Hospital 1 will create opportunities for the two medical facilities in particular as well as the UK and Ho Chi Minh City in general to further develop cooperation in areas where the UK has strengths and can meet the needs of Ho Chi Minh City.
