Ha Tinh General Hospital has just completed the construction of infrastructure and equipped modern machinery for the High-Tech Radiation Therapy Area. The project is built on an area of over 700m2 with main items such as: CTSIM simulation room, TPS planning room, accelerator control room and accelerator room... This is the first cancer radiation therapy center in this locality.

With this system, the center will perform many radiotherapy techniques such as: intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), which helps adjust the intensity and direction of radiation to focus precisely on the tumor, protecting surrounding healthy tissue, especially for sensitive organs such as the heart, lungs, brain...; volumetrically modulated radiotherapy (VMAT) uses radiation moving in a circular arc around the patient, allowing optimal adjustment of the radiation dose according to the shape and size of the tumor, reducing treatment time and increasing the effectiveness of destroying cancer cells...

In addition, the system has image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), Conebeam CT 4D will use continuous images during treatment to ensure high accuracy, helping to monitor and promptly adjust the location of the tumor in the body; 3D radiotherapy (3D-CRT) is a highly accurate radiotherapy method, recreating the image of the tumor in three dimensions, helping the radiation beams to be adjusted to fit the shape of the tumor, minimizing the impact on healthy tissue and optimizing treatment effectiveness.
