Successfully 'cracked' One UI 7's AI feature on old Galaxy devices

According to Sammy Fans , the Now Brief feature, known as a highlight of the new Galaxy S25 series, is said to be only compatible with modern processors like the Snapdragon 8 Elite, leaving users of older models 'sadly' accepting the absence of this feature on One UI 7.

However, the technology world has just been 'stirred up' with the news that hackers have found a way to activate Now Brief on most Samsung smartphone lines, opening up hope for users who do not own new models.

One UI 7 can now be 'bypassed' on old phones

Now Brief is powered by Personal Data Intelligence, which provides useful information summaries and optimizes the user's daily activities. Samsung has previously confirmed that this feature cannot work on older devices due to hardware limitations.

However, recently, the user community discovered a 'circumvention' method to activate Now Brief. A user on the X platform with the account @DalgleishGX successfully activated this feature on his Galaxy S23+, and another user even successfully did it on the A52 model.

This method involves manually installing the Samsung Smart Suggestion app (v7.0.03.2) from third-party APK sources, along with tweaking the System UI Tuner via adb or root. However, users should note that this is a rather complicated process and can pose risks to the device if done incorrectly.

While Now Brief can be enabled, it only shows weather information and lacks other widgets. This could be a stripped-down version that Samsung could optimize for older devices in future One UI updates.

Installing apps from unofficial sources and tampering with System UI Tuner can cause security issues and affect the performance of the device. Users should consider carefully before performing these tricks.

While the 'hacked' version of Now Brief isn't complete, it's still a positive sign that it could potentially be extended to older devices in the future. Users can expect One UI updates from Samsung to get a fuller Now Brief experience.
