On May 25, Thu Duc City Police (HCMC) confirmed the above information and said they were completing procedures to hand over the property to the deceased, Ms. Vuong Thi Hong N. (44 years old, residing in Linh Tay ward, Thu Duc city).

As reported, on the evening of April 1, Ms. N. went to drink coffee with some friends at table B12 of Koiland Coffee Shop, located at 13 Khong Tu Street, Ward 4, Binh Tho Ward. More than an hour later, Ms. N. left but forgot her wallet on the chair. Later, Ms. N. returned to look for it but could not find it.

Camera footage from the restaurant shows that a 10-year-old girl sitting at table B11 next to the man was the one who picked up the wallet. The girl was with the man and another girl.

When reporting to the police, Ms. N. said that the wallet contained assets including: 1 ID card in the name of Vuong Thi Hong N., 2 9999 PNJ gold bars, about 7,000 Euros, 100 Australian dollars, 500 USD and 2.8 million VND, with an estimated total value of about 200 million VND.

After receiving the verification, the police issued a notice to search for those involved in the case of the lost wallet containing large assets.

By the afternoon of May 25, the girl's father had brought the entire wallet containing the property to Thu Duc City Police to hand over.

It is worth mentioning that when his daughter found the wallet with a large amount of money, he did not hand it over to the coffee shop or the local police but took it home. Nearly 2 months after finding the lost item, when the police issued a wanted notice along with a clip extracted from the coffee shop's security camera, he brought the property to hand it over.
