On November 12, Dr. Do Thien Minh - Deputy Director of My Tho City Medical Center, Tien Giang Province - said that he is making a proposal to the Department of Health to reward nurse Truong Thi Diem Trang and nurse Nong Thi My Tien for their good deed of finding and returning the property to the patient.
According to Dr. Minh, at around 10:15 a.m. on November 7, Ms. Trang was cleaning in front of the ultrasound room of the examination and emergency department of My Tho City Medical Center when she discovered a stack of money worth more than 20 million VND dropped in front of the ultrasound room, so she informed nurse Tien.
Then Ms. Tien took the money in the newspaper to the department leader and brought the money to the administrative organization department to find and return it to the person who lost it.
The administrative department extracted the camera footage to find the person who dropped the money and identified Ms. Tran Thi Luon (54 years old, residing in Tan Binh Thanh commune, Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province) who dropped the money while going to see a doctor, so she returned the money.
According to Mr. Minh, the honest and responsible actions of Ms. Tien and Ms. Trang are not only a shining example of professional ethics but also create a great influence in the health sector of Tien Giang province. This is a testament to the core values that health workers always strive for, a sense of responsibility, dedication to the profession and honesty.
