The information was shared with Tuoi Tre Online on May 22 by Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang said that performing with Buc Tuong and Pham Anh Khoa will also include two singers loved by young people, Phuong Ly and Pham Dinh Thai Ngan, puppeteers and Japanese artists.
The music of The Wall has great power of encouragement and motivation.
Regarding the invitation for the band Buc Tuong to perform at the Vietnam Festival in Japan, Mr. Hoang said that in addition to the strong fan community in the country, the fan community in Japan is one of the largest Buc Tuong fan communities outside of Vietnam.
In Japan, many people studying and working here have translated The Wall's songs into Japanese.
The music of The Wall has a great power to encourage and motivate people, especially when they are away from home.
That is the reason why the organizers want to invite Buc Tuong to participate in this year's festival after missing an appointment in 2015.
Mr. Hoang said the organizers had planned to invite Buc Tuong to participate in the 2015 Vietnam Festival in Japan, but soon after, Tran Lap fell ill and passed away, so the plan did not come true.
Recently, seeing the band's return to active activities, this year the organizers decided to invite the band to perform, as a gift for the large fan community of The Wall in Japan.
The Wall will wear Ao Dai to perform rock
Artist Tran Tuan Hung - the current leader of Buc Tuong shared with Tuoi Tre Online : during the 29 years since its establishment, Buc Tuong has participated in many cultural exchange festivals in France, Singapore, Indonesia, and South Korea, but this is the first time the veteran rock band has performed in the land of the rising sun.
The Wall has been seriously and carefully prepared to bring the most special emotions to the Vietnamese community in Japan and the Japanese people attending the festival.
"Perfectionism will be shown in each work and through the modernized ao dai costumes that the band will bring to the stage of this festival. There will be familiar songs from the Tran Lap era of Buc Tuong and also new compositions," Tran Tuan Hung revealed.
