According to the forecast of Beijing Municipal Meteorological Observatory, hot weather will continue for 3 days starting today (June 10).
The highest temperature measured at the Nanjiao Meteorological Observatory, representing “Beijing Temperature” yesterday afternoon (June 9), reached 35.4 degrees Celsius, setting a new high temperature and also the first high temperature day of the year.

According to the head of the forecasting department of the Leilui City Meteorological Observatory, the maximum temperature at 76% of the city's meteorological stations exceeded 35 degrees Celsius. Among the 20 national meteorological stations, the Changping station had the highest temperature, reaching 37 degrees Celsius. This year's hot weather came relatively early, and the average temperature in early June is expected to be 0.5 degrees Celsius higher than the same period in normal years. The appearance of this high temperature weather is mainly due to the influence of the northwesterly air flow through Beijing, the clear sky increases the heat emission level, and the relatively low humidity near the ground is the reason for the high temperature weather lasting for many consecutive days.
According to the yellow high temperature warning issued by the Beijing Municipal Meteorological Observatory, from today until June 12, the highest temperature in the plains will reach 35-36 degrees Celsius, even reaching 37 degrees Celsius in some places.
During this heat wave in the north, some cities may reach or exceed the normal number of high temperature days for June. On the first heat day yesterday, the highest temperature in many cities in Hebei province reached 40 degrees Celsius.
