Bac Kan leases forest environment for tourism development

This is the concretization of the content of the Project on Ecotourism, Resorts and Entertainment at the Nam Xuan Lac Species-Habitat Conservation Area approved by Bac Kan province.

This is also an important step for Bac Kan province to exploit the tourism potential in 3 national parks and conservation areas that have not been promoted in the past.

The Management Board of Nam Xuan Lac Species-Habitat Conservation Area invites people to rent forest environment to develop ecotourism at 4 locations and 9 tourist routes with an area of ​​nearly 500 hectares.

These tourist destinations and routes are still very pristine and have a lot of potential, such as: Cau Muc-Lung Trang eco-tourism, resort and entertainment destination; Lung Ly eco-tourism, resort and entertainment destination; Ban Thi 1 eco-tourism destination; Phja Khao-Ban Thi tourist route...

According to the Management Board of Nam Xuan Lac Species-Habitat Conservation Area, with an area of ​​over 3,985 hectares, the conservation area is one of the places with high biodiversity.

This place has a limestone mountain forest ecosystem, diverse and rich vegetation, especially hundreds of years old ironwood trees distributed throughout the area.

The reserve is a place with great potential for developing ecotourism, resort and entertainment activities including natural resources, climate, landscape beauty, human resources and historical and cultural values.

Regarding historical and cultural values, we can mention tourism resources such as the relics of the Cho Dien mining system from the French colonial period including: the Dau Cap Binh Trai steel structure cluster, the system of stone stacking roads for mineral exploitation, the French stone house in Lung Trang...

This place still preserves ancient stilt houses, traditional costumes, dances and songs associated with people's lives.

Through the invitation to rent forest environment, Bac Kan province determines to cooperate with enterprises to preserve forests, develop forests, conserve and promote natural landscape values, carry out afforestation and conservation.

Effectively exploit the potential and advantages of diverse forest ecosystems, scenic spots, landscapes, and environments, associated with the cultural identities of ethnic groups to develop ecotourism; create jobs, increase income, improve people's lives, enhance material and spiritual life and contribute to sustainable poverty reduction for local people by committing to using local labor and local agricultural products...

It is known that Bac Kan currently has Ba Be National Park, two conservation areas: Kim Hy Nature Reserve and Nam Xuan Lac Species-Habitat Conservation Area.

Forest protection in these areas is well implemented, contributing to Bac Kan being the leading province in the country in terms of forest coverage. However, the lives of people living here and participating in forest protection are very difficult.

Therefore, calling for the development of ecotourism along with protection is the method chosen by this locality to simultaneously achieve two goals: preserving the forest and improving people's lives, helping people to sustainably benefit from the forest.
