Bac Giang: Risk of forest fires at dangerous level

BAC GIANG - According to the weather forecast of the Bac Giang Hydrometeorological Station and the monitoring synthesis of the Bac Giang Forestry Department, as of today (March 27), the weather situation in the province is developing abnormally, with dry sunny days, combined with low air humidity and low humidity of combustible materials, the risk of forest fires in all districts, towns and cities in the province is at level IV (dangerous level).

The Forest Protection Department requests the Chairman of the District People's Committee and the District Fire Prevention and Fighting Command to directly direct forest fire prevention and fighting in the locality.

Military forces were mobilized to participate in fighting forest fires at Nham Bien mountain (Bac Giang city).

Forest owners and rangers regularly conduct strict inspections in key fire-prone areas; arrange forces to guard and be on duty during the day to ensure compliance with the forest fire forecast level prescribed in Decision No. 66/2021/QD-UBND dated November 30, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee, on duty 12/24 hours (from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily), especially during peak hours (from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.), promptly detect fires, give alarms and mobilize forces and means to extinguish immediately.

Regularly and promptly announce information on forecasts and warnings of forest fire risks, regulations on fire use in forests and forest edges, and daily forest fire situations in the locality on mass media; when a forest fire occurs, mobilize forces and means to promptly extinguish it; investigate and verify the fire, and strictly handle it according to the provisions of law.
