According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the summer-autumn crop of 2025, the total estimated planting area in Dong Nai will reach nearly 47,500 hectares, a decrease of 532.5 hectares compared to the same period last year.

In particular, the summer-autumn crop structure has changed significantly, with a sharp decrease in the area of ​​corn and rice; a sharp increase in the area of ​​vegetables and beans. Specifically, the corn area decreased by more than 1,300 hectares, the rice area decreased by nearly 853 hectares. Meanwhile, the area of ​​vegetables and beans planted was more than 7,400 hectares, an increase of more than 1,200 hectares compared to the same period in 2024. Currently, some localities in the province are still in the harvest stage of winter-spring crops. However, localities are proactively implementing programs to guide farmers to plant summer-autumn crops on time based on the irrigation capacity of each irrigation project. According to the plan, early summer-autumn crop planting in areas with sufficient irrigation water will start from May 1; the main crop planting will start from May 15 to 25; and late summer-autumn crop planting will start before June 15.
