Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council and Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh was elected to hold the position of People's Committee of Bac Giang province, term XIX, 2021-2026.
On January 2, the People's Council of Bac Giang province held the 23rd session (special session) to decide on a number of contents related to personnel work under the authority of the People's Council of Bac Giang province.
At the meeting, the People's Council of Bac Giang province listened to the Proposal of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council introducing Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to be elected as Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, term XIX, 2021-2026. The delegates of the Provincial People's Council conducted the vote, and the result was that Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was elected as Chairwoman of the People's Council of Bac Giang province, term XIX, 2021-2026.
Next, the People's Council of Bac Giang province elected the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. As a result, Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province for the 19th term, 2021-2026.
Previously, on December 27, 2024, the Executive Committee of the 19th Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee held its 23rd conference to elect the positions of Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee of Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department was elected to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong (born in 1973) has professional qualifications: Hanoi Law University (major in Law), Hanoi Open University (major in Business Accounting), Master of Law; advanced political theory degree.
Before being elected as Chairwoman of the People's Council of Bac Giang province, Ms. Huong held positions such as Vice Chairwoman of Bac Giang City People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh (born in 1980), has professional qualifications: Hanoi University of Transport (major in Road and Bridge Construction), Thai Nguyen University (major in Economic Law), Master of Highway and City Road Construction; Senior level of political theory.
Before being elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, Mr. Oanh held the positions of Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Bac Giang province, Standing Deputy Secretary of Lang Giang District Party Committee, Secretary of Luc Ngan District Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, and Deputy Secretary of Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee.
