According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4:00 a.m. on December 24, the center of the storm was located at about 11.5 degrees North latitude; 112.0 degrees East longitude, in the southwest sea area of the central East Sea.
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 8 (62-74km/h), gusting to level 10; moving west at 5-10km/h.
From 4:00 a.m. on December 24 to 4:00 a.m. on December 25, the storm moved in a West-Southwest direction, at a speed of about 5-10 km/h and gradually weakened into a tropical depression.
From 4:00 a.m. on December 25 to 4:00 a.m. on December 26, the tropical depression moved in the West Southwest direction, at a speed of about 5-10 km/h and gradually weakened into a low pressure area.
Due to the influence of the storm, the southwestern sea area between the East Sea and the northwestern sea area of the South East Sea (including the northwestern sea area of Truong Sa) has strong winds of level 6-7, the area near the storm's center has strong winds of level 8, gusts of level 10, waves 4-6m high; rough seas.
The sea area from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan (including Phu Quy island) has strong winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9, waves 3-6m high; rough seas.
On the day and night of December 25, in the North East Sea (including the Hoang Sa sea area), the Northeast wind is strong at level 6, sometimes at level 7 in the North, gusting to level 8-9. The sea is rough; waves are 3-5m high.
The sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8. Rough sea; waves 2-4m high.
From the night of December 25, the wind gradually weakened. The risk level of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea is level 2; the sea area southwest of the area between the East Sea and the sea area northwest of the South East Sea (including the sea area northwest of the Truong Sa area) is level 3.
From the evening and night of December 24, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and the eastern part of the Central Highlands will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with common rainfall from 15-40mm, locally over 70mm.
Warning, from December 26, heavy rain is likely to gradually decrease, thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Warning level 1 of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain.

From Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Central Highlands
- There will be showers and thunderstorms in some places, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening and at night; in the East there will be rain, moderate rain, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms. Northeast wind level 2-3. Cold at night and early morning, in thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
- Lowest temperature 17-20 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius.
Southern Vietnam
- There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; in the East, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms at night, with some heavy rain in some places. Northeast wind level 2-3, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.
- Lowest temperature 22-25 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 28-31 degrees Celsius, some places above 31 degrees Celsius.
