Specialist Doctor II Duong Phuoc Dong, Head of the Department of Intensive Care and Anti-Poison, Kien Giang General Hospital, said that all three patients were in critical condition, required ventilators, were in deep coma, had blood pressure buildup, and had a poor prognosis. Treatment was also hampered as the hospital was lacking biological products and equipment.
"The family doesn't know how much alcohol they drank, they just know it was a lot," said Dr. Dong.
Late last year, the hospital also admitted 14 people with alcohol poisoning at a funeral, three of whom died later.
