One of the core missions of Mexican media is to spread positive, humane values.
During their work, Mexican journalists always see these values when writing about Vietnam, which are stories of a heroic nation, a country rich in potential and aspirations to rise.
This was shared by Mr. Mouris Salloum George, President of the Mexican Press Association, when receiving the 10th National Foreign Information Second Prize presented by Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Nguyen Van Hai - on behalf of the National Foreign Information Award Council - on April 3 at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy.
According to a VNA correspondent in Mexico, speaking at the ceremony attended by the Vietnamese diplomatic delegation and representatives of the local press community, President of the Mexican Press Association Mouris Salloum George emphasized that information about Vietnam not only gives readers an objective view of a powerful Vietnam, but also serves as a reference for the secret to success in socio-economic development of a small country emerging from the ashes of war.
Thanking the support of the Embassy and Vietnamese colleagues in providing objective information for his professional work, Mr. George - a journalist who has written dozens of articles about Vietnam - expressed his determination to continue writing articles about Vietnam in order to spread positive information related to the country he loves to readers not only in Mexico but also in the Latin American region.

In addition, the head of the Mexican Press Association - an organization representing more than 45,000 professional journalists - wishes to strengthen cooperation and academic exchange between press and media agencies of the two countries, especially between the association and key press agencies of Vietnam such as Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and Vietnam Television (VTV).
Expressing gratitude and appreciation for the articles about Vietnam by author Mouris Salloum George, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Nguyen Van Hai said that the content of the journalistic works provided objective information about Vietnam to the Mexican people, thereby contributing to promoting the traditional friendship between the two countries, especially on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Mexico diplomatic relations (May 19, 1975 - May 19, 2025).
Referring to the work “Vietnam opens its arms of friendship to Latin American countries,” awarded the 10th National Foreign Information Second Prize by author Mouris Salloum George, Ambassador Nguyen Van Hai said that this is a very special article because it vividly and attractively conveyed and summarized the historical milestones in the relationship between Vietnam and Latin American countries, as well as Vietnam's policy in strengthening cooperation with traditional friends, including countries in the region.
Agreeing with the proposal of the President of the Mexican Press Association, Ambassador Nguyen Van Hai affirmed that Vietnamese representative agencies in Mexico always play the role of a bridge to enhance cooperation between Vietnamese and Mexican media agencies, considering it an important task in further tightening the increasingly good relationship between the two countries./.
