DNVN - AEON plans to open AEON Xuan Thuy in Hanoi at the end of 2024, with a large scale following the model of a general department store and supermarket.
After more than 10 years in the Vietnamese market, AEON has continuously expanded its business operations, affirming its position in Vietnam. With a total investment of more than 1.5 billion USD, AEON has been implementing a strategy to diversify its retail models to suit the changing needs and behaviors of Vietnamese consumers, providing convenient shopping experiences and enhancing the lifestyle of customers.
In 2024, AEON Vietnam plans to open a total of 4 department stores and supermarkets. This is part of the company's strategy to bring convenience, fully meet customers' daily needs, and bring AEON standards closer to local people.
Vietnam is a key market for AEON.
Last September, AEON Ta Quang Buu officially opened in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City with an area of nearly 7,000m2, 2 floors. Previously, AEON Vietnam had launched a supermarket located outside the AEON shopping center, a streamlined supermarket model with a smaller scale and mainly focusing on the food industry.
Mr. Furusawa Yasuyuki, Member of the Board of Directors, AEON Group (Japan) in charge of the Vietnamese market, and General Director of AEON Vietnam shared: “AEON will accelerate network development and open new business locations, thereby increasing “touch points” with customers. Through the expansion of the business system, AEON not only contributes to the development of Vietnam's commercial infrastructure but also promotes the consumption of Vietnamese products through AEON's distribution and retail system."
AEON plans to open AEON Xuan Thuy in Hanoi at the end of 2024. With a larger scale, continuing the model of a general department store and supermarket, AEON Xuan Thuy promises to become a new destination for the people of the capital.
Mr. Furusawa Yasuyuki also shared that AEON Vietnam is actively looking for suitable locations and opportunities to cooperate with real estate developers in Vietnam to deploy retail models in their buildings and shopping malls. AEON's long-term goal is to create more touch points with consumers, while meeting modern consumption trends and contributing to the socio-economic development of the community, creating a sustainable and prosperous life for people where AEON is present.
