This list was built by a group of scientists from Stanford University (USA) based on the exploitation of the Scopus database.
Accordingly, among the permanent Vietnamese scientists working regularly in the country, 9 scientists are ranked in the world's top 10,000 and 60 scientists are ranked in the world's top 100,000 most influential cited scientists in 2024, increasing both in quantity and ranking compared to previous years.

Expanding the list of scientists ranked in the top 100,000, in 2024 Vietnam will have 60 scientists, an increase of 13 people compared to last year, including many young scientists.
