6,300 Thu Duc students take excellent student exam for grades 6, 7, 8

According to the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, each 6th and 7th grade student can register for the excellent student exam in one of 3 subjects: Literature, Math, English.

8th grade students can register for the excellent student exam in 1 of 6 subjects, including literature, math, English, natural science (choose 1 of 3 knowledge streams: energy and transformation, matter and transformation of matter, living things), history - geography (choose 1 of 2 sub-subjects: history or geography), information technology.

This year, the excellent student exam for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 was held at 8 exam locations: Tran Quoc Toan Secondary School, Hoa Lu Secondary School, Phuoc Binh Secondary School, Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School, Luong Dinh Cua Secondary School, Binh Tho Secondary School, Le Quy Don Secondary School, and Thai Van Lung Secondary School.

Thu Duc is one of the few units that organizes excellent student exams for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 (usually units only organize this exam for students in grade 9).

Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, said that the excellent student contest for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 was organized to create an academic playground, promote the movement of good teaching - good learning. At the same time, it discovered and nurtured talented students to participate in the excellent student contest team for grade 9 at the city level.

This exam is for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 with good academic performance or higher and training results of good or higher in semester 1 of the 2024-2025 school year.
