Candidates pack up to take the first V-SAT university entrance exam in 2025

According to a reporter at the Banking Academy exam site on the morning of March 23, many candidates and their parents arrived early and crowded in front of the school gate.

According to quick statistics from the school, candidates taking the V-SAT exam this year in Hanoi mainly come from high schools in the capital and neighboring provinces such as Phu Tho, Hung Yen, and Bac Ninh.

Cao Phuong Ngoc, a 12A1 student at Le Hong Phong High School (Nghe An), shared: "My family and I left Nghe An for Hanoi yesterday to take the exam. The subject group I chose is math - physics - chemistry with the hope of being admitted to the Finance - Banking school."

In particular, Ngoc was very happy to receive the result of 136.5/150 points in math right after finishing the exam. This was a great motivation to help her have more confidence in her dream of going to university.

In addition to the Banking Academy exam location, the Northern region also has two other exam locations: Thai Nguyen University and Hung Yen University of Technical Education, creating favorable conditions for students to choose.

The V-SAT exam is implemented by the Banking Academy in collaboration with the National Testing Center and Education Quality Assessment.

Last year, the admission score using the V-SAT exam results to the Banking Academy was 315 points.

The 2025 V-SAT exam will for the first time closely follow the 2018 general education program. The subjects are diverse, including math, literature, English, physics, chemistry, biology, history, and geography.

In particular, from 2025, literature will be added to the list of independent subjects. The main form of the exam is objective multiple choice on computer or on paper, making it more convenient for candidates to do the test and receive the results.

The highlight of the exam is that candidates can take the exam multiple times and choose the highest result of each subject to apply for admission to 19 universities nationwide.

V-SAT exam questions are built from a large question bank, continuously updated according to a scientific process, ensuring objectivity and fairness in assessment.

The exam content focuses on the 12th grade program (about 90%), in addition to knowledge from grades 10 and 11 (about 10%).

The test time for math and literature is 90 minutes/subject, the remaining subjects such as English, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography is 60 minutes/subject.

To achieve good results, candidates are recommended to familiarize themselves with the sample test structure, allocate practice time reasonably between the multiple-choice test and essay writing sections, and especially practice fast and accurate typing skills.

According to the plan, the Banking Academy will organize a total of 6 exams from March to May 2025 at the school and some joint exam clusters in major provinces and cities.

Candidates register for the exam online via the V-SAT portal of the Banking Academy and can choose to register for 3 or more subjects depending on the admission needs.

In Hanoi, Banking Academy is the only training institution that organizes the V-SAT competency assessment exam.

The results of this exam are currently used by 19 universities nationwide for admission, opening up more opportunities to choose majors and increasing the chances of admission for candidates.

By 2025, it is expected that 19 universities will organize and use the V-SAT exam in admissions with a target of 10-40% of total enrollment targets.

This year, the V-SAT fee is 250,000 VND, including the exam fee of 135,000 VND and 115,000 VND service fee (issuance of certificate, printing certificate, express delivery...).
